Why the VFW?
BECAUSE OUR STRENGTH COMES FROM YOU - Simply put, the VFW strives to do good things for deserving people - our veterans, their families and their communities. From local grassroots ideas to national influence, we work every day to make a difference. It's our strength as an organization. And, with each individual membership, we only grow stronger.
The VFW appreciates your service, and so do patriotic businesses across the country. That's why we've teamed up to offer you - as a VFW member- and your family discounted pricing on valuable merchandise and services. It's just one more way we're able to say, "thank you" for all you've done to protect our freedom!
The benefits that come with A VFW membership are: Travel services, medical services, financial services, technology and electronics, end of life services, transitioning to civilian life, insurance, haircuts, real estate and mortgage services, retail discounts and a retirement facility at Fort McCoy, FL.
ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP - Your dues of just $35.00 will cover the cost of your membership for a full calendar year as a Member-At-Large for your state. ($1.98 of your membership dues goes toward your VFW magazine subscription.)
LIFE MEMBERSHIP - Show your support to service members, veterans and their families by becoming a VFW Life Member. An easy, one-time payment solidifies your membership for life, or take advantage of our convenient installment plan.
LEGACY LIFE MEMBERSHIP - When you become a Legacy Life Member, you are helping us strengthen the VFW. Future generations will know and remember you for the sacrifices you made during your time in uniform in addition to the contributions you made as a VFW Legacy Life Member. Each level offers generous benefits reserved exclusively for members of this status.
The fundamental difference between our organization and other veterans organizations, and one in which we take great pride, is our eligibility qualifications.
VFW welcomes all who meet our eligibility criteria. It's through service to this country that all our membership has earned their elite status.
If you have received a campaign medal for overseas service; have served 30 consecutive or 60 non-consecutive days in Korea; or have ever received hostile fire or imminent danger pay, then you're eligible to join our ranks.
We will need a copy of your DD214 if you are out of the service. If you are still serving a copy of your ERB should work. Your membership dues will support the VFW mission to serve and represent our veterans at the local, state and national level. Join now, and your membership will be valid for a full calendar year.
If you have any questions please stop by the Post, or use the website contact tab, your question will go to the commander.
